1989 08-22 SPECIAL MEETING OF THE MERIDIAN PLANNING & ZONING AUGUST 22 1989 Special Meeting of the Meridian Planning & Zoning Cattnission called to order by Chairman Jim Johnson at 7:30 p.m.: M~nbers Present: Moe Alidjani, Jim Shearer, Charlie Rountree, Tim Hepper: Others Present: Dave Collins, Don Bryan ,Lee Stucker, Gordon Wood, Helen & Dale Sharp, Wayne Crookston: Chairman Johnson: The purpose of this Meeting is to consider and take action on the Findings of Fact & Conclusion of Law on the application of Interwest Financial and Lee & Leonard Stucker for Annexation & Zoning and to consider the Prel~m;na,1, Plat of Chateau Meadows East Subdivision. Are there any comments or discussion of the Commission? Alidjani: In #14 of the Conclusions it says that even though it is Zoned R-8,density should not be greater t1~i 4 units per acre, would that satisfy Mr. Hepper's concern at the Public Hearing about not having duplexes in this develognent? City Attorney: With that condition it would: Hepper: There were sane questions at the Public Hearing about Dixie Lane whether that was public or private or saneday going to be a public street, did we ever find out anything on that? It was explained that this was out of our jurisdiction and was up to Ada County Highway District. The Motion was made by Rountree and seconded by Alidjani that the Meridian Planning and Zoning Cacmiission hereby adopts and approves the Findings of Fact and Conclusions as prepared by the City Attorney. Motion Carried: Roll Call Vote: Hepper, Xea: Rountree, Yea: Shearer, Yea: Alidjani, Xea: The Motion was made by Alidjani and seconded by Rountree that the Meridian Planning and Zoning Commission hereby recannends to the City Council of the City of Meridian that they approve the annexation and zoning R-8 Residential requested by the Applicant for the property described in the application, subject to the conditions stated in the Findings of Fact and Conclusions of Law: Motion Carried: All Yea: The Motion was made by Hepper and seconded by Rountree that the Meridian Planning and Zoning Cacmission hereby recam~xids that the Meridian City Council approve the Preliminary Plat for Chateau Meadows East Subdivision: Motion Carried: All Yea: Being this was a Special Meeting for the purpose stated above the Motion was made by Rountree and secronded by Alidjani to adjourn at 7:35 p.m.: Motion Carried: All Yea: (Tape on file of these proceedings) TPFST: AP ~ZOV Ja c ian City Clerk ,7O ~ ~~R~
