Arthur Collins gave a review of the Comprehensive Plan to indicate the areas that
still need work (the areas that are incomplete - the means of handling written
comment:
1. There are no policies for Parks,Recreation, open space and special
areas of site
We have a draft of the four (4) Management options
This will be more fully defined
2. No policy of mobile homes
3. There is no policy in terms of existing zoned lands in conflict with
Comprehensive Plan. (this will be addressed)
~. Transportation section is incomplete.
5. Implementation section is incomplete.
No implementation time.
Left out reference to future acquistion maps and land use.
This should be very general
6. Glossary is incomplete
7. Have not prepared bibliography for the plan
8. Septic tank pamphlet for 208 plan
Urban run off
9. Has the decision been made as to what constitutes the Urban Service
Planning Area
10, Policy diagram in the second section is incomplete
11. Public imput as per second draft
How will this be accomplished
12. Review of EPA of plan ,yet to be accomplished
13. Page 8 - good, Number 7 to be broken up
14. Does the Commission want a session to review the second draft

61 Regional Transportation Plan to be removed.

The Transportation Planner explained the means of expediting traffic through
and around the town. This was discussed.
It was thought that the recommendation as listed in the policy be maintained.
The Motion was made by Burl Pipkin and seconded by Lee Mitchell that East First
between Fairview and Franklin be designated a collector street.
Motion passed: All yea
A Policy is to be drawn on a frontage road along interstate on the North side
to Ten Mile Road from Fagle Road.
Arthur Collins presented an amendment to the plan.
There will be a meeting on Thursday from 5:00 P.m. to 7:00 P.M. to work on the
comments generated by the plan.
There will be a meeting on the 3rd of July and the 6th of July at 7:00 P.M.
to further study the Plan in order to be sure to meet the deadlines of the
necessary printing of the Plan.
