BOISE. IDAHO 83708 LEON A. FAIRBANKS, PRESIDENT ROBERT L. DAY. VICE PRESIDENT C. LEO HOLT. SECRETARY August 17, 1972 Meridian Planning Commission City Hall Meridian, Idaho 83642 Re: Jack Dowdle Broadway Avenue And 8th Street Gentlemen: A plan and profile for the proposed street improvements was received August 11, 1972. The following comments are offered: 1. The Ada County Highway District will accept a 50 foot right-of- way on Idaho Street and 8th Street but will honor Meridian right- of-way standards. 2. The Ada County Highway District will not accept a half street improvement on Idaho Street. 3. We now require vertical curb on radii. Will honor your desire. 4. Type of pipe and size to be approved for deep drain ditch. 5. Irrigation ditch or drainage from irrigation on South side of Broadway Avenue from station 2 + 50 to 3 + 50 to be piped with junction box and placed back of curb sufficient to allow for future sidewalk. 6. Trash rack shown for siphon inlet is not acceptable. Provide vertical bars on angle with top anchored to concrete box. 7. Roadway section to be 37 feet back to back of curb. 8. One street name sign. $30.00 payable to Ada County Highway District. 9. Revised plan to be submitted. All pipe types to be shown. 10. Will require deeds for the new right-of-way. 11. Regulations enclosed, this will be treated same as a subdivision by Ada County Highway District. EES:ds cc: Jack Dowdle Tudor Engineering Enclosure Sincerely yours, Elmer E. Soniville, P.E.
