Ps.: Meridian Manor No. 1. Subdivision - Meridian, Idaho.
Dear Mr. Smith:
We have reviewed the plans of the water and
sewer lines for the proposed Meridian Manor No. 1 Subdivision
at Meridian, Idaho. The plans are approved provided proper
lcalcase tests of the lines are done and the minimu:a hori-
^ontal and vertical separation of the sower ani water lines
are maintained.
Our approval is contingent upon the acceptance
by the city of Meridian of the connection to their water
and sewer systems. Approval of these plans is not to be
construed to allow the addition of sewage connection which
will cause the capacity of the sevoge treatment plant to
be e7:ceeded.
We are returning two sets of the plans to you
and retaining the third set for our files.
Sincerely,

RE: Sewer Dry Line Policy
Availability of elevation information
The Council unanimously passed the following policy in the meeting of August
23, 1973:
DRY SEWER LINES ARE TO BE INSTALLED IN ALL DEVELOPMENTS WITHIN
ALL THE DEFINED _ADA COUNTY COMDIUNITY SERVICE AREAS WHERE, AND
AT SUCH TIME AS, SEWER PLANS EXIST AND ELEVATIONS ARE AVAILABLE
INCLUDING BOISE/GARDEN CITY, MERIDIAN, STAR, KUNA AND EAGLE.
Two pertinent questions are being raised concerning implementation:
(1) When and how does the policy apply?
The Policy is a mandatory element of the ACOG Water Quality Management Plan
and as such is now in effect. The local jurisdictions and planning commissions
will determine application policy on future applications and those applications
in,the review and approval process.
(2) Where is elevation available to applicants concerning future sewer lines?
In the communities of Eagle, Star, Meridian & Kuna, the applicant's engineering
consultant can obtain the information from CH2M (the FHA Rural Study Consultant).
Within the Boise Metro Study Priority I & II areas, the applicant's engineering
consultant would contact the Boise City Department of Public Works.
ACOG is an association of elected officials organized to jointly consider and resolve matters of mutual concern.

Within the Boise Metro Study Area in Garden City, Briggs and Associates
have the information.
Within the Boise Study Area, but outside Priority I E II areas, the
information would be supplied by J -U -B.
If there are any further questions concerning this aspect of the policy, please
contact Tom Davis of our staff.
Very truly yours,
A
