A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF MERIDIAN
MAILING CERTAIN FINDINGS AND ADOPTING PLANNING AND
ZONING NEW FEES AND FEE INCREASES.
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
MERDIIAN, IDAHO:
WHEREAS, it is in the best interests of the City of Meridian to adopt new
fees and fee increases associated with the Planning and Zoning Department, due to
the current costs and expenses to the Planning and Zoning Deparunent under the
present fee structure.
WHEREAS, the new fees and increased fees are necessary to cover the costs of
development applications, site inspections, site and landscape plan reviews,
certificates of zoning compliance, etc, that are not being recouped through the
present fee structure.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND CITY
COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF MERIDIAN, IDAHO:
SECTION 1: FINDINGS: Pursuant to the authority of this City to operate and
maintain the Planning and Zoning Department, the City hereby authorizes and
declares that the Planning and Zoning Department shall establish new fees and
increase fees to cover the costs of development applications, site inspections, site and
landscape plan reviews, certificates of zoning compliance, etc., that are not being
recouped through the present fee structure.
SECTION 2: ADOPTION OF NEW FEES AND INCREASED FEES: The new
fees and increased fees for the Planning and Zoning Department to cover the
costs of development applications, site inspections, site and landscape plan
reviews, certificates of zoning compliance, etc., are herein listed on the
attached Exhibit "A" attached hereto, and incorporated herein as if set forth in
full hereto.

SECTION 3: EFFECTIVE DATE: The date that the new fees and increased fees
shall take effect for the Planning and Zoning Department shall be February 1,
2002.
