You may retain Counsel: Is there anyone in the audience who wishes apre-termination hearing? There was no response. Due to their failure to pay their water bill or to present any valid reason why the bill has not been paid. their water shall be turned off on July 13, 1988. In order to have their water turned back on, there will be an additional fee of $10.00. They are hereby informed that they may appeal or have the decision of the City reviewed by 'the Fourth Judici~.l. Court, pursuant to Idaho Code. Ewen though they appeal, the water will be shut off. T'he Motion was made by Tblsma and seconded by Myers to approve the turn-off list: Motion Carried: All Yea: Mayor Kingsford: The an~unt of delinquencies this month are $6,837.85: Item #2: Approve the Bills: The Motion was made by Myers and seconded by Tblsma to approve payment of the bills: Motion Carried: All Yea: Department Reports Tolsma: I might mention that the Fire Department had a busy Fourth of July we had 11 calls: Brewer: Chief Bower wanted me to inforn you he would be meeting with you tomorrow to conclude his budget. In regards to Councilman Tolsma's ccs~¢rtent regarding fireworks, I cannot think before to many more years go by something will be done about fireworks. Chief Porter: I think you are all aware that Al Thorsen resigned from the Police. Dent effective at 8:00 a.m. this morning to take a job in Brookings, Oregon, so at the suggestion of Councilman Giesler we had a plaque made for Mr. Thorsen, I can read it and then pass it around, In rec~gni:~n of eight dedicated years of service to the Meridian Police Department, GrantI~~, Mayor, Bob Giesler, MERIDIAN CITY COUNCIL ~ • JULY 5, 1988 PAGE # 2 Police Commissioner, Roy Porter, Chief of Police.
