A RESOLUTION STATING THAT THE NEW SANITARY SEWER LINES
CONSTRUCTED WITH FUNDS FROM THE ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT ADMINIS-
TRATION SHALL NOT BE USED UNTIL SUCH TIME AS THE NEW SEWAGE
FACILITY HAS BEEN CONSTRUCTED AND APPROVED BY THE STATE OF
IDAHO DEPARTMENT OF HEALTH AND WELFARE AND BY THE ENVIRONMENTAL
PROTECTION AGENCY.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE MAYOR AND CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF MERIDIAN, ADA COUNTY, IDAHO:
WHEREAS, the City of Meridian has entered into a grant
agreement with the Economic Development Administration to assist
the City in the financing of new sanitary sewer lines and
domestic water lines that will be constructed as a portion of
a major sewer and water improvement project for the City; and
WHEREAS, the City of Meridian is intending to construct
said sanitary sewer lines and domestic water lines prior to the
completion of a new sewage treatment facility which is in the
final facilities planning phase; and
WHEREAS, the City of Meridian does not intend to utilize
the said sanitary sewer lines prior to the completion of the
new sewage treatment facility.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City of Meridian
shall not allow sewer service connections to be made to the new
sanitary sewer lines as will be constructed with funds provided
in the above-mentioned grant until the new sewage treatment
facility has been constructed and approved for use by the State
of Idaho Department of Health and Welfare and by the Environmental
Protection Agency.
ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Meridian, this
28th day of May, 1976.

' This is in response to your May 17, 1976 letter.
' As previously discussed in our April 22, 1976 letter to the
Economic Development Administration, we will issue a certificate of
treatment adequacy for the Meridian sewage treatment plant, based on
the following conditions being met:

1. Sufficient Construction Grant funds are made available to
i EPA and the State to support construction of a new treatment plant.
~ 2. The City of Meridian submits a construction schedule and
provides assurance that the plant will be constructed. ,
i 3. Assurance is given that the new plant will be constructed
~ in time to receive the wastes generated by the proposed sewage
collection and water systems.

"Separate sealed bids for the 1976 Elevated Slater Storage Tank Project,
which consists of the following:

(1) Furnish one (1) 500,000 gallon (net) pedestal spheroid water tank;
(2) Erect and paint the pedestal spheroid water tank in Meridian, Idaho;
and
(3) Furnish detailed design and plans of a reinforced concrete founda-
tion for the pedestal spheroid water tank;
will be received by the City of Meridian, Ada County, Idaho, at the office of
Meridian City Hall located at 728 Meridian Street, Meridian, Idaho, until
8:00 o'clock p.m., M.S.T. July 12 1976, and then at said office
publicly opened and read aloud.

upon so returning such a set will be refunded $10.00.
The Owner reserves the right to waive any informalities or to reject any
or all bids.
Each bidder must deposit with his bid, security in the amount, form and
subject to the conditions provided in the Information for Bidders.
