JOINT SERVICE CONTRACT
This agreement entered into this 27th day of September, 1976, by

called "School District" and the City of Meridian, Idaho Municipal corpora-
tion, hereafter called "city"."

It is mutually agreed between School District and City as follows:

1. Purpose of Contract
It is the mutual best interestes of School District and City to
jointly develop outdoor recreational facilities for general public

outdoor recreation use on the following described real estate owned

2. Immediate Improvement; Effective Date; Financing
a. The School District shall, within a twelve (12) month period of,
time, and at its own expense without assistance from the City,
"cause to be constructed on the property described above, six`
tennis courts and one comfort station.
b. Joint operation and use of the facilitiesshall commence upon
completion of improvements provided for herein.
3. Future Use -
" The primary purpose of the facilities shall be for outdoor recreation
by the general public. The School District agrees that all outdoor
recreation facilities on the site including those on adjacent school
lands shall be opened and available for general public use when not
being used for regularly scheduled school activities, as outlined on
the attached schedule of use.

Future Maintenance
The School District agrees to operate and maintain the facilities

- during the school year (September l - May 31) and the City agrees to

operate andmaintain the facilities during the summer months (June 1 -

August 31). The comfort station restroom facilities are the primary

maintenance and operation responsibilities that will be shared.

'Term of Agreement
This agreement shall be in effect perpetually and may otherwise be
a
terminated by mutual agreement of the parties. Both parties agree

in the event of termination to comply with the terms and conditions
of the agreement between the parties and the State of Idaho, the
Administrator of the Land and Water Conservation Fund Program, '
subject to such compliance, both parties covenant that the entire
property subject to this agreement shall continue to be operated and
maintained for public outdoor recreation.
6.
Ownership of Property'- (School - City)
The property as described in section 1 of this agreement is
owned entirely by the School District.
7.
Binding Effect
This agreement is not only binding upon the parties hereto but upon
their respective successors in the event of changing in form or
consolidation of City or School District. This; agreement may not
be assigned by either party without written consent of the other.
8.
Approvals
Each party certified that this Agreement has been duly and legally
approved for signature by the parties in accordance with legal
requirements.
