We have reviewed the above mentioned bids and offer our findings
and recommendations.
As you may remember, five bids were received and opened at the
City Ha11 on May 19, 1975. An Abstract of Bids is attached. Please note
that all bids have been reviewed and with the exception of the Ross Con-
struction bid were found to be correct and in order.
In the Ross Construction bid, 15 of the 25 regular bid items have
discrepancies between. the word and figure prices. In addition, the Ross
Construction bid included a price of $57,321.00 for the S-1 item. We have
been told that that figure rags intended to be $1,500.00.
In light of the above mentioned findings, we respectfully offer
the following recommendations.
~ 1. Contract award be based on the low base bid price of $53,686.00
subudtted by Galey Construction Company, Inc., of Boise.
2. Do not exercise the 30 day operable installation clause and,
of course, do not include the S-1 bid item in the construction contract.
3. Schedule proceedings to complete contract documents and sub-
mit an official Notice to Proceed by May 23, 1975.
