1984 07-27 • SPECIAL MEETING OF MERIDIAN CITY COUNCIL JULY 27,2984 Special Meeting of Meridian City Council Balled to order at 4:15 p.m. by Mayor Grant Kingsford. Council Members Present: Bill Brewer, Bob Giesler, Bert Myers, Ron Tolsma Others Present: Jay Amyx, Wayne Crookston. The purpose of this meeting was to discuss the operations that are being conducted in the old creamery building located at 27 East Broadway. The Mayor and Council informed Mr. Amyx that he had not preformed according to his orginal agreement that was made at the time of occupancy of this building. Mr. Amyx had committed at the time of occupancy and the proposal for a Used Auto Parts Store that there would be no parts or junk automobiles on the outside of building, everything would be stored inside. Mr. Amyx also had agreed to keep the Cfty advised as to the other occupants of the Build- ing. Since the time of Mr. Amyx occupancy there have been junk cars and parts stored in the alley and around the building on the outside and the location has not been kept clean of weeds and other debris. At the present time there is a legal action pending against Mr. Amyx for violation-of the City of Meridian Ordinances. There was more discussion regarding the clean-up of this location and comforming to the City Ordinances. (Tape on File) The Motion was made by Brewer and seconded by Tolsma that Mr. Amyx conform to all the requirements orginally agreed by Mr. Amyx and the City of Meridian prior to August 31, 1984 or the City will proceed with the Court date as set on September, 1984 and that Mr. Amyx conforms with the City Ordinances in the future.
