Conditions of Approval: Project is subject to all current City of Meridian ordinances. The issuance
of this CZC does not release the applicant from any previous requirements of the other permits
issued for this site, including, but not limited to, the original Certificate of Zoning Compliance
(CZC-OS-118) for the site, issued September 12, 2005.
Site Plan: The Site Plan prepared by Architecture Designs Plus, on Apri129, 2008, labeled Sheet
Number A-1, is approved (stamped "Approved" on May 21, 2008 by the Meridian Planning
Department) with no changes from the Planning Department. The approved site plan is not to be
altered without prior written approval of the Planning Department.
Landscaping In accordance with UDC 11-3B-2D for additions less than twenty five percent (25%)
of the existing structure or developed area no additional landscaping shall be required. As such, a
landscape plan for the proposed project is not required.
Elevations: The Elevations prepared by Architecture Designs Plus, on Apri129, 2008, labeled Sheet
Number A-1 through A-3, are approved with no changes from the Planning Department.
Li htin : In accordance with UDC 11-4-3.43H-7 all lighting on the tower, other than may be
required by the FAA shall be prohibited.
Signag_e: No signs are approved with this CZC. All business signs will require a separate sign
permit in compliance with UDC 11-3D.
ACHD Acceptance: All impact fees, if any, shall be paid prior to the issuance of a building permit.
If any changes must be made to the site plan to accommodate the ACHD requirements, a new site
plan shall be submitted to the City of Meridian Planning staff for approval prior to the issuance of a
building permit.
Plan Modifications: The approved Site Plan and Elevations stamped "Approved" on May 21, 2008
are not to be altered without prior written approval of the Planning Department. No significant field
changes to the site or landscape plans are permitted; prior written approval of all changes is required.

As a community wireless Internet provider, ClearWire is serious about serving
the growing demands of the Meridian area. For this very reason, ClearWire is
requesting an administrative review approval for adding one additional antenna
and three additional BTS units to an existing configuration of Clearwire
equipment located on the wireless telecommunications of the above referenced
tower site. Clearwire has previously installed antennas, BTS units, and
microwave dishes on this site which provide wireless Internet to its customers.
Because of the growing demand from Clearwire's customers, additional antennas
and BTS units are needed to ease some capacity issues for the neighborhoods
surrounding this tower site.
The BTS unit is very small in size, weighing only 25 pounds. The antenna and
BTS units will be placed on a pipe mast adjacent to the existing antennas and
dishes. The BTS units will sit directly adjacent to the existing and proposed
antenna.
To summarize this application, ClearWire is requesting the City of Meridian
Planning and Development Services to issue an administrative approval for the
co-location of new ClearWire equipment to this existing wireless
telecommunications facility. The additional antenna and BTS units are needed to
solve capacity issues within the neighborhoods surrounding the site location.
There will not be any new equipment placed on the ground.

Introduction
1'he purpose of this report is to summarize results of the structural analysis performed on the
eYistin, 100 ft Valmont Monopole located at Meridian-ID, ID, Ada County (ATC site #82687).
The tower was originally designed and manufactured by Valmont (Drawing #DC2625Z dated
August 31, 1995).
Analysis
The existing tower was analyzed using Scmaan Engineering Solutions, Inc., Software. The
analysis assumes that the tower is in good, undamaged, and non-corroded condition. A 5%
overstress is allowed in the existing structural members to accotult for program variances.
Basic wind speed: 75.0 mph (Equivalent to a 90 mph 3-second bust wind speed per
International Building Code 2000)
Radial Ice: 0.50" w/ reduced wind.

Results
The existing 100 ft Valmont Monopole with the existing and the proposed antennas is
structurally acceptable per EIA/TIA-222-F standards.
The maximum structure usage is: 4b.5%
Additional exit and/or entry ports may be required to accommodate the running of the proposed
transmission lines to the proposed antennas. These ports, if required, may be sourced as "kits"
from the original monopole manufacturer. They should be installed per the manufacturer's
instructions furnished. with the port materials. These additional. ports, when properly installed
replace the material removed by the cutting of holes in the monopole structure so no additional
engineering calculations are required.
