The Purchasing Department respectfully requests that the following item be placed on the
April 8 City Council Consent Agenda for Council's consideration.
Award of Bid and Approval of Agreement for Independent Contractor Services for
Parks Security System. The Bid was opened on January 11, 2008. The Agreement
is the City's standard Agreement for Independent Contractor Services.
Recommended Council Action: Award of Bid and Approval of Agreement with
The Security Group for the Not-To-Exceed amount of $24,999.00., and authorize
the Mayor to sign and City Clerk to attest.
ADDITIONAL NOTES:
We received only one bid (The Security Group) at $28,500.00 which exceeded
the estimate of $25,000. The bidder did not want to get a Performance and
Payment Bond so he dropped his price to $24,999.00
