For this very reason, Clearwire is requesting a Certificate of Zoning Compliance for adding additional antennas and equipment to existing Wireless Telecommunications Facility. Pursuant to the City of Meridian Wireless Telecommunication Ordinance, co-location is encouraged. Clearwire is complying with this request by the City of Meridian. Clearwire's radio engineers have identified gaps in the area due to terrain challenges blocking current coverage. Currently, Clearwire does not have adequate coverage in the area to support its customers growing needs and demands. Clearwire's radio engineers have selected the existing location to better support its customers needs. Clearwire strives to have seamless coverage throughout its network, and this area is not seamless. The site was selected because of its central location to this area of weak signal strength and has the best potential of resolving problems in the area. With the rapid growth of this area, we are receiving an increasing number of complaints from our customers and feel it is time to address this coverage issue. Continuous coverage is of major importance for the safety and convenience of all users of wireless telecommunications.
