ORDINANCE NO. 505
AN ORDINANCE AMENDING TITLE 2, CHAPTER 2, REVISED AND COMPILED ORDINANCES OF THE
CITY OF MERIDIAN ADOPTING THE 1988 UNIFORM PLUMBING CODE; AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE
DATE.
WHEREAS, the Mayor and City Council of the City of Meridian, State of Idaho,
have concluded that it is in the best interest of said City to adopt the 1988 Uniform
Plumbing Code of the Revised and Compiled Ordinances of the City of Meridian.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE MAYOR AND CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
MERIDIAN, ADA COUNTY, IDAHO:
SECTION 1. That the Section 2-201 of the Revised and Compiled Ordinances
of the City of Meridian is hereby amended to read as follows:
2-201: ADOPTION OF PLUMBING CODE: There is hereby adopted by the City of
Meridian for the purpose of establishing minimum standards of design, materials
and workmanship for all plumbing hereafter installed, altered or repaired, and
to establish methods of procedure within the City limits, that certain Plumbing
Code known as the "Uniform Plumbing Code, 1988 Edition", and the whole therof of
which not less than three (3) copies have been and now are filed in the office
of the Clerk of the City, and the same are hereby adopted and incorporated as fully
as if set out at length herein, and from the date of which this Chapter shall take
effect, the provisions thereof shall control the installation, alteration or repairing
of plumbing within the corporate limits of the City; provided however, the below
stated addition to the Uniform Plumbing Code is also hereby adopted which addition,
if in conflict with the Uniform Plumbing Code (UPC), shall overrule said UPC; the
addition is stated as follows:
(A) Buildings Move From One Location To Another: When a building is moved
from one location to another the service entrance shall be inspected
and made to conform to the requirements of the current edition of the
Uniform Plumbing Code.
Section 2: "EFFECTIVE DATE: WHEREAS, there is an emergency therefor, which
emergency is declared to exist, this Ordinance shall be in full force and effect
from and after its pssage, approval and publication according to law.

ORDINANCES OF THE CITY OF MERIDIAN ADOPTING THE 1988 UNIFORM
