AMENDED ORDINANCE NO. 498
AN ORDINANCE REPEALING SECTION 2-201 OF THE REVISED AND COMPILED
ORDINANCES OF THE CITY OF MERIDIAN AND RE-ENACTING SAID SECTION
O:F 2-201 WITH CHANGES; AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, the Mayor and City Council of the City of Meridian,
~ State of Idaho, have concluded that it is in the best interests
of said City to repeal Section 2-201 of the Meridian Ordinances
and to re-enact said Section with changes effective as set forth
hereinafter;
NOW, THEREFORE., BE IT~ORDAINED BY THE MAYOR AND CITY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF MERIDIAN, ADA COUNTY, IDAHO:
SECTION 1: That Section 2-201, is hereby repealed.
SECTION 2: That Section 2-201, is hereby re-enacted and which
shall read as set forth hereafter.
2-201 ADOPTION OF PLUMBING CODE: There is hereby adopted
by the City of Meridian for the purpose of establishing minimum
standards of design, materials and workmanship for all plumbing
hereafter installed, altered or repaired, and to establish methods
of procedure within the City limits, that certain Plumbing Code
' known as UNIFORM PLUMBING CODE, 1985 EDITION, and the whole thereof
of which not less than three (3) copies have been filed in the
office of the Clerk of the City, and the same are hereby adopted
and incorporated as fully as if set out at length herein, and from
_ the date of which this Chapter/shall take effect, the provisions
thereof shall control the installation, alteration or repairing
of plumbing wihtin the corporate limits of the City; PROVIDED HOWEVER,
the below stated addition to the Uniform Plumbing Code is also
hereby adopted which addition, if in conflict with the Uniform
Plumbing Code (UPC) shall overrule said UPC; the addition is stated
as follows:
A. Buildings Moved From One Location To Another: When a .
building is moved from one location to_another the service
entrance shall be inspected and made to conform to the
requirements of the current edition of the Uniform Plumbing
Code.

SECTION 3. EFFECTIVE DATE: WHEREAS, there is an emergency
therefor, which emergency is declared to exist, this Ordinance shall
be in force and effect from and after its passage, approval and publication
according to law.

AN ORDINANCE REPEALING SECTION 11-2-409 OF THE REVISED AND COMPILED
ORDINANCES OF THE CITY OF MERIDIAN AND RE-ENACTING SAID SECTION OF
11-2-409 WITH ADDITIONS; AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, the Mayor and City Council of the City of Meridian, State
of Idaho, have concluded that it is in the best interests of said City
to repeal Section 11-2-409 of the Meridian Ordinances and to re-enact
said section with changes effective as set forth hereinafter;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE MAYOR AND CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF MERIDIAN, ADA COUNTY, IDAHO:
SECTION 1. That Section 11-2-409, is hereby repealed.
SECTION 2. That Section 11-2-409 is hereby re-enacted and which
shall read as set forth in Exhibit "A" attached hereto and incorporated
herein by this reference.
SECTION 3. EFFECTIVE DATE: WHEREAS, there is an emergency therefor,
which emergency is declared to exist, this Ordinance shall be in full
force and effect from and after its passage, approval and publication
according to law.
