AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE PLUMBING CODE OF THE CITY OF MERIDIAN
BY REPEALING SECTIONS 2-201 THROUGH 2-208 OF TITLE 2; CHAPTER 2,
OF THE REVISED AND COMPILED ORDINANCES OF THE CITY OF MERIDIAN
AND RE-ENACTING SECTION 2-201 TO ADOPT THE UNIFORM PLUMBING
CODE, 1985 EDITION; AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DAT.E~: '
WHEREAS, the Mayor and City Council of the City o~ Meridian,
State of Idaho, have concluded that it is in the best interests
of said City to amend the plumbing code by repealing Sections
2-201 through 2-208 of Title 2, Chapter 2, and re-enacting
Section 2-20i to adopt the Uniform Plumbing Code, 1985 Edition.
NOW, THEREFOR, BE IT ORDAINED BY' THE MAYOR AND CITY COUNC~:L
OF THE CITY OP MERIDIAN, ADA COUNTY`, IDAHO:
SECTION 1. That Sections 2-201 through 2 208, ~LUMB~NG
CODE, shall be repealed.
;~~ SECTION 2. That Section 2-201, ADOPTLON OF PLUMBING
CODE, shall be re-enacted and shall read as follows:
2-201: ADOPTION OF PLUMBING CODE: There is hereby adopted
by the City of Meridian for thepur~ose of establshng'nninimum
standards of. design, materials and workmanship for all plumbing
hereafter installed, altered oz repaired, and to establish methods
of procedure within the City limits that certain Plumbing Code

known as NATIONAL PLU~'IBING CODE, 1985 EDITION, and the whole thereof
of which. not less than three. (3) copies have been and now are filed
in the office of the-Clerk of the City, and the same are hereby
adopted and incorporated as fully as if set out at length herein,'
and from the date of which this Chapter shall take effect, the
provisions hereof shall control the Installation, alteration or
repairing of plumbing within the corporate limits of the City.
SECTION 3. EFFECTIVE DATE: The Ordinance shall be in dull
force and effect after its passage, approval and publ.catLon
according th law.

THERETO;~BY REPEALING SECTION 2-313, INSPECTION FEES AND RE-
ENACTING SAID SECTION 2-313, INSPECTION FEES SUCH. THAT INSPECTION
FEES WILL BE ESTABLISHED BY THE CITY ELECTRICAL INSPECTOR WITH
THE APPROVAL. OF THE CITY COUNCIL; AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
