AN ORDYNANCE AMENDING TITLE 2, CHAPTER 10, OF THE REVISED AND ,
COMP~ILED ORDINANCES OF THE CITY OF MERIDIAN, ENTITLED FIRE CODES,
BY ADOPTING TH~ 1985 EDITION OF THE UNIFORM FIRE CODE.

~., WHEREAS,;.the City Gouncil and the Mayor of the City of
Meri:dian,have.concluded that it is in the best interest of said

~ C~ity to amend Title 2, Chapter 10, Section 2:-1001 (A), FIRE CODES,
~ ADOPTION OF FIRE CODES.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE MAYOR AND CITY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF MERIDIAN, ADA COUNTY, IDAHO:
Section 1. That Title 2, Chapter 10, Section 2-1001(A),
FIRE CODES, ADOPTION OF FIRE CODES, shall be and the same is here-
by amended by adopting the 1985 Edition of the Uniform Fire Code,
and Section 2-1001 (A} shall-read as follows:
2-1001: ADOPTION OF FIRE CODES:
(A) Uniform Fire Code. The Unifornn Fire Code is adopted for the
purpose of regulating and governing conditions hazardous to life
and property from fire. The Uniform Fire Code, 1985 Edition, is
her~eby adopted. Said Fire Code, three (3) copies of which shall
be on file at all time.s in the office of the.Clerk of the City of
Meridian, shall be made a part of this Coa~e as if set out in
length herein.
Section 2. WHEREAS, there is an emergency therefor, which
emergency is declared to exist, this Ordin~ance shall take effect
a~nd be in force from and after its passage., approval and publica-
tion as required by law.
