AN ORDINANCE REPEALING SECTIONS 2-916 AND 2-917, TITLE 2, CHAPTER
9, GAS INSTALLATION AND PIPING, REVISED AND COMPILED ORDINANCES
OF THE CITY OF MERIDIAN, ADA COUNTY, AND RE-ENACTING THE SAID
SECTIONS 2-916 AND 20917, TITLE~2, CHAPTER 9, TO READ AS SET FORTH
HEREIN, AND TO BE EFFECTIVE UPON APPROVAL HEREOF.
WHEREAS, the City and the Mayor of Meriidan, Idaho have
ConbludeQ that it is in best interest if the City to repeal
Sections 2-916 and 2-917, Title 2, Chapter~9, Gas Installation
and piping of the Revised and compiled Ordinances of the City of
Meriidan, Adad County and to re-enact said sections which shall
read as hereinafter set forth, and which enactment shall be- -
effective upon approval hereof.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE MAYOR OF THE CITY OF
MERIDIAN, arid the CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF MERIDIAN, ADA COUNTY,
IDAHO,
Section 1. That sections 2-916 and 2-917 of Title 2, Chapter
9, Gas Installation and piping are hereby repealed.
Section 2. That the following shall be enacted as sections
2-916 and 2-917, Title 2, Chapter 9, Gas Installation and piping,
and shall read as follows:
2- 916 :
LICENSE FEES: Before any license is issued the app~~
licant shall ~ay to the City Clerk a license fee in
accordnace with the following schedule:
Gas Fitting Contractor
Journeyman Gas Fitter
Apprentice Gas Fitter

10.00
NONE
Upon paymen~ of ~he above Eee and p~esentati6n af valid
certificate of competency or other acceptable identification
as shall be required for a Gas Fitting Contractor, Journey-
man Gas Fitter, or Apprentice, the City Clerk shall issue
a License Certificate, indicating clearly thereon the name
of the holder, classification and year for which it is valid.
2-917: EXPIRATION AND RENEWAL OF LICENSES: All licenses
shall expire upon and shall be renewed not later than December
31, of each year.
SECTION 3. WHEREAS, there is an emergancy therefore,
ni~h emergancy is declared to exist, this ordinance shall
take effect from and after its passage, approval and pub-
lication as required by law.
PASSED by the City Council and approved by the Mayor of
the City of Meridian, Ada County, Idaho, this ~ day of
