AN ORDINANCE AMENDING TITLE 2, CHAPTER 10, OF THE REVISED AND COMPILED ORDINANCES
OF THE CITY OF MERIDIAN, ENTITLED FIRE CODES, BY ADOPTING THE 1982 EDITION OF THE
UNIFORM FIRE CODE.
WHEREAS, the City Council and the Mayor of the City of Meridian have concluded
that it is in the best interest of said City to amend Title 2, Chapter 10, Section'
2-1001 (A) , FIRE CODES, ADOPTION OF FIRE CODES.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE MAYOR AND CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF

MERIDIAN, ADA COUNTY, IDAHO:
Section 1. That Title 2, Chapter 10, Section 2-1001 (A), FIRE CODES, ADOPTION
OF FIRE CODES, Shall be and the same is hereby amended by adopting the 1982 edition
of the Uniform Fire Code, and Section 2-1001 (A) shall read as follows:
2-1001: ADOPTION OF FIRE CODES:
(A) Uniform Fire Code. The Uniform Fire Code is adopted for the purpose of
regulating and governing conditions hazardous to life and property from fire. The
Uniform Fire Code, 1982 Edition, is hereby adopted. Said Fire Code, three (3)
copies of which shall be on file at all times in the office of the Clerk of the City
of Meridian, shall be made a part of this Code as if set out in length herein.
Section 2. WHEREAS, there is an emergency therefor, which emergency is
declared to exist, this Ordinance shall take effect and be in force from and after
its passage, approval and publication ad required by law.
PASSED by the City Council and approved by the Mayor of the City of Meridian,
