ORDINANCY NO. 400
AN ORDINANCE AMENDING TITLE 5, CHAPTER 1, OF THE REVISED AND COMPILED ORDINANCES
OF THE CITY OF MERIDIAN, ENTITLED DEPARTMENTS, WATER SYSTEM BY THE REVISION OF
SECTION 5-131, MONTHLY RATES. SPECIFICALLY TABLE III THEREOF, ENTITLED SCHEDULE OF
WATER USE FEES, INCREASING BY NINE PERCENT (9%) WATER USE FEES.
WHEREAS, the City Council and the Mayor of the City of Meridian have
concluded that it is in the best interest of said City to amend TITLE 5, CHAPTER 1,
by the revision of Section 5-131 entitled Monthly Rates, specifically Table III
of said Section entitled Schedule of Water Use Fees, increasing by nine percent
(9%) water rates charged City water users effective October 1, 1981.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE MAYOR AND CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF MERIDIAN, ADA COUNTY, IDAHO:
Section 1. That Title 5, Chapter 1, Departments, Water System, be and the
same hereby is amended by the revision of Table III, Schedule of Water Use Fees,
fo Section 5-131, which Table III shall read as follows:

Use Fees
A non-resident user shall be double the rate of a similar user who is entirely
within the corporated limits of the City. The minimum for multiple building
developments shall be treamount that is greater as determined from Table II and
Table III according to gallons consumed, 1 unit minimum $3.00 for 1,000 gallons
or Table III, whichever is greater, 2 to 75 units $3.00 multiplied by the number
of units or volume of use, Table III, whichever is greater, 75 units and above
$225.00 or Table III, whichever is greater.

Section 2 . WHEREAS, There is an emergency therefor" which emergencyi s
declared to exist, this Ordinance shall take effect and be in force from
and after its passage, approval and publication as required by law.
PASSED By the City Council and approved by the Mayor of the City of
Meridian, Ada County, Idaho this 5th day of October, 1981.
