ANORo:INANCE AMENDING. TITlE"7, Ctl^PTER-S;- ENTITL:ED SEWER-USEOF--THE REVISED AND
COMPILED ORDINANCES OF THE CITY OF MERIDIAN, ADA COUNTY, IDAHO BY CHANGING
SECTION 7-533 SUCH THAT THE SUMMER MONTHS SEWER USE IS BASED ON THE FIVE MONTH
AVERAGE WINTER WATER USE.
WHEREAS, the City Council and the Mayor of the City of Meri di an, Idaho,
have concluded that it is in the best interest of said City to amend Title 7,
Chapter 5, by changing Section 7-533 such that the summer months sewer use is
based on the five month average winter water use.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE MAYOR AND CITY COUNCIL OF THF THE
CITY OF MERIDIAN, ADA COUNTY, IDAHO,
Section 1. That the first paragraph of Section 7-533 is hereby amended
to read as follows:
7-533 SEWER USER CHARGES AND CONNECTION FEES: The monthly sewer
user rates for sanitary sewer service in the City, as hereafter
developed in accordance with Section 7-530 of this Chapter arc based on gallons
of water used as determined by the water meter readings. Residential homeowner's
sanitary sewer user charges will be based on the actual water recorded for
monthly water meter readings during the period of the year from the fifteenth day
of October to the following fifteenth day of March. For the following seven (7)
month period. the average monthly reading for the period from October 15, to the
fOllowing fifteenth day of March shall be the basis for the monthly sewer user
charge. All other users such as commercial and industrial shall be based on their
monthly water consumption. The user charges will be reviewed annually by the
twentieth day of August. The user charge system is based on the following:
Section 2. That the remaining po"r~tions of Section 7-533 known as pqragraphs
(A), (B) and (C) shall remain unchanged. '
Section 3. WHEREAS, there is an emergency therefo~, which ~mergency is
hereby declared to exist, this Ordinance shall be in force:and effect from and
after its passage, approval and publication as required by law.
PASSED this 2nd day of June, 1980, by the City Council and approved by the
Mayor of the City-~f Meridian, Ada County, Idaho.
