ORDIN ~CE NO. 363
AN ORDINANCE AMENDING TITLE 10, CHAPTER 10, OF THE REVISED AND COMPILED ORDINANCES
OF THE CITY OF MERIDIAN.
WHEREAS, the City Council and the Mayor of the City of Meridian have concluded
that it is in the best interest of said City to amend Title 10, Chapter 10, Section
10-1004,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE MAYOR AND CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
MERIDIAN, ADA COUNTY, IDAHO:
Section 1. That Section 10-1004 is hereby amended to read as follows:
10-1004
FALSE REPORTS: It shall be unlawful for any person, firm, paYtrlership,
association, corporation, company or organization of any kind to:
(A) Intentionally or knowingly request, in any manner, the assistance of the
police department, fire department or any other medical or emergency
personnel or equipment, when such assistance is not needed as requested,
or aid or abet in the commission of such act or false alarm;
(B) Make, file or utter any false, misleading or unfounded verbal or written
statement or report to any employee of the City of Meridian, concerning the
commission or alleged commission of any crime or tort;
tC) Intentionally or knowingly furnish, in or for any report, form or application,
to the police department, fire department, or any city employee and false or .
misleading information if such alters the content or intent of such report,
form or application.
Section 2. WHEREAS, there is an emergency therefor, which emergency is
declared to exist, this ordinance shall take effect and be in force from and
after its passage, approval and pUblication as required by law.
PASSED by the City Council land approved by the Mayor of the City of Meri di an,
Ada County, Idaho, this 19th day of February, 1980.
