ORDINANCE NO. 359
AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE BUILDING CODE OF THE CITY OF MERIDIAN, BY ADOPTING THE
1979 EDITION OF THE UNIFORM BUILDING CODE.
BE" IT ORDAINED BY THE MAYOR AND CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF MERIDIAN, ADA
COUNTY, IDAHO:
2-101: ADOPTION OF BUILDING CODE: There is hereby adopted by the City of
Meridian for the purpose of establishing rules ~nd regulations for the construction,
alteration, removal, demolition, equipment, use and occupancy, location and
maintenance of buildings and structures, including permits and penalties, that
certain Building Code known as the Uniform Building Code 1979 Edition, of which
not less than three (3) copies have been and now are filed in the office of the
Clerk and the same are hereby adopted and incorporated as fully as if set out at
length herein, and from the date on which this Ordinance shall take effect, the
provisions thereof shall be controlling the construction of all buildings and
other structures therein contained within the corporate limits of the City.
WHEREAS, there is an emergency therefor, which emergency is declared to
exist, this Ordinance shall take effect and be in force from and after its
passage, approval and publication as required by law.
PASSED by the City Council and approved by the Mayor of the City of Meridian,
Ada County, Idaho, this 17th day of December, 1979.
