ORDINANCE NO. 319.
AN ORDiNANCE OF THE CITY' OF MERIDIAN, ADOPTING AN AREA OFH nIP ACT
AS REklUIRED UNDF..R CHAPl'ER 65, TITLE 67, IDAHO E9E!:
WHEREAS, the City Council and the Mayor of the City of
Meridian, after hearings and conducted pursuant to Chapter 65,
Title 67, Idaho Code, and specifically Section 67-6523, Idaho Code,
have concluded t~it is in the best interest of the City------
to adopt an Area of Impact to protect the public health, safety,
and welfare of the City 'and people of Meridian;
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE MAYOR AND CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF MERIDIAN, ADA COUNTY, IDAHO:
Section 1. The Area of Impact as required to be adopted by
the City of Meridian Shall be as generally described below and
sh811 encompass all land contained within said boundaries;
County line on the West, Highway 20-26 on the North, Cloverdale
on the East as far South as the Freeway-Overland area, then
including 5Hile, 8Mile and 10 mile creek drainage but
extending no farther East than Cole Road or the New York
canal whichever comes first, then returning West to the
County Line in the general vicinity of the Rawson C?Jlal.
Section 2. The attached map showing the said Area of Impact:
is adopted for purposes of clarifying and more particularly
showing the Area of Impact. --"'--~,
Section 3. \1HEREAS, this Ordinance is being adopted under'
the emergency provisions of Chapter 65, Title 67, Idaho Code,
and WHEREAS there is an em6rgency which has been declared to
exist, this Ordinance shall take effect and be in force from
and after its passage and approval; PROVIDED HOWEVER, as
required under Section 67-6523, Idaho Code, this Ordinance shall
cease to be effective 120 days after its passage.
Passed by the City Council and approved by the Mayor of the
City of Meridian, Ada County, Idaho, This 29th day of December,
1977.
