ORDINANCE NO. 265
AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 3-1608 OF THE REVISED AND COMPILED
ORDINANCES OF THE CITY OF MERIDIAN, ADA COUNTY, IDAHO, DEALING WITH THE
SALE OF, WINE BY THE DRINK, IN AND FOR THE CITY OF MERIDIAN.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE MAYOR AND CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
MERIDIAN, ADA COUNTY, IDAHO:
Section 1: That Section 3-1608 of the Revised and Compiled
Ordinances of the City of Meridian, is hereby amended to read as follows:
CONSUMPTION ON PREMISES: Wine sold for consumption on the retai1er.~s
premises may be sold only during hours that liquor by the drink may be
sold pursuant to the laws of this State. However. with the further pro-
vision that no. wine shall be sold tor oonsumption on the premises during
any National, State or Municipal election, during the hours that the
polls are open. Wine sold by the retailer for consumption off the,
premises of the retailer may be sold only during the hours that beer may
be sold pursuant to the laws of this State.
Section 2: WHEREAS, there is an emergency therefor, which
emergency is hereby declared to exist, this Ordinance shall take effect
and be in force and effect from and after its passage, approval and
publication as required by law. .

Passed by the City Council and approved by the Mayor of the City
of Meridian, Ada County, Idaho, this 3rd day of June, 1974.
