ORDINANCE NO. 259
AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 246 OF THE REVISED AND COMPILED
ORDINANCES OF THE CITY OF MERIDIAN, ADA COUNTY, IDAHO, DEALING WITH
APPROVAL OF SUBDIVISION PLATS, IN AND FOR THE CITY OF MERIDIAN.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE MAYOR AND CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
MERIDIAN, ADA COUNTY. IDAHO:-
Section 1. That Ordinance No. 246 of the Revised and Compiled
Ordinances of the City of Meridian, be, and the same is hereby amended
as follows:
APPROViL OF SUBDIVISION PLAT: No plat shall be recorded or
offered for record until the plat has been reviewed by the Zoning and
Planning Commission and approved by the Mayor and Council of Meridian
and shall bear thereon the approval by endorsement of the Mayor and
City Clerk of said City. Before any of the above bodies shall issue
approval of plat they shall have received a certification from the
design engineer that the work performed is in compliance with and
meets the specifications of the plat. Any costs involyed in this
certification shall be the cost of the developer. In the event the
developer posts a bgnd for the work ~~ne, the Council may grant per-
mission to record the plat andth~~"ond will not be released unti;J.
the aforementioned certification is received.
Section 2. WHEREAS, there is an emergency therefor, which emergency
is hereby declared to exist, this Ordinance shall take effect and be in
force and effect from and after its passage, approval and publication as
required by law.
Passed by the City Council and approved by the Mayor of the City of
Meridian, Ada County, Idaho, this 7th day of January, 1974.
