ORDINANCE NO. 258
AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 253 OF THE REVISED AND COMPILED
ORDINANCES OF THE CITY OF MERIDIAN, ADA COUNTY, IDAHO, DEt'\.LING WITH
RIDULATING STANDING OR PARKING CLOSE TO CURB.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE MAYOR AND CITY COUNCIL OF THE C~TY OF
MERIDIAN, ADA COUNTY, IDAHO:-
Section 1. That Ordinance No~ 253 of the Revised and Compiled
Ordinances of the City of Meridian, be, and the same is hereby amended
as follows:
It shall be unlawful for any person to stand or park a vehicle in
a roadway other than parallel with the edge of the roadway headed in
the direction of lawful traffic movement and with the curbside wheels
of the vehicle within eighteen inches (18") of the curb or edge of the
roadway, other than where diagonal parking is designated.
Section 2. In the event any part of this Ordinance conflicts
with any existing Ordinance of the City of Meridian, this Ordinance
shall be deemed as prevailing and the Ordinance it is in conflict with
is deemed repealed.
Section 3. WHEREAS, there is an emergency therefor, which emergency
is declared to exist, this'Ordinance shall take effect and be in force
from and after its passage, approval and publication as required by law.
Passed by the City Council and approved by the Mayor of the City
of Meridian, Ada County, Idaho, this 7th day of January, 1974.
