ORDINANCE NO. 254
AN ORDINANCE PROHIBITING THE FOLLOWING OF FIRE APPARATUS.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE MAYOR AND CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF MERIDIAN, ADA COUNTY, IDAHO: -
Section 1. It shall be unlawful for any driver of any
vehicle other than one on official business to follow any fire
apparatus traveling in response to a fire alarm closer tlmn five
hundred feet (500') or drive or park such vehicle within the
block where fire apparatus has stopped in answer to a fire alarm.
Section 2. In the event any part of this Ordinance conflicts
with any existing Ordinance of the City of Meridian, this Ordinance
shall be deemed as prevailing and the Ordinance it is in conflict
with is deemed repealed.
Section 3. WHEREAS, there is an emergency therefor, which
emergency is declared to exist, this Ordinance shall take effect
and be in force from and after its passage, approval and publi-
cation as required by law.
Passed by the City Council and approved by the Mayor of the
City of Meridian, Ada County, Idaho, this 3rd day of December, 1973.
