ORDINANCE NO. 252
AN ORDINANCE PROVIDING FOR UNLAWFUL RIDING IN VEHICLES.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE MAYOR AND CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF MERIDIAN, ADA COUNTY, IDAHO: -
Section 1: It shall be unlawful for any person to ride any
vehicle upon any portion thereof not designated or intended for
the use of passengers. This provision shall not apply to an
employee engaged in the necessary discharge of a duty or to
persons riding within truck bodies in space intended for merchan-
dise.
Section 2. In the event any part of this Ordinance conflicts
with any existing Ordinance of the City of Meridian, this Ordinance
shall be deemed as prevailing and the Ordinance it is in conflict
with is deemed repealed.

Section 3. WIIEREAS, there is an emergency therefor, which
emergency is declared to exist, this Ordinance shall take effect
and be in force from and after its passage, approval and publi-
cation as required by law.
Passed by the City Council and approved by the Mayor of the
City of Meridian, Ada County, Idaho, this 3rd day of December, 1973.
