ORDINANCE NO. 219
AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 8-1639 OF THE REVISED AND COMPILED
ORDINANCES OF THE CITY OF MERIDIAN, ADA COUNTY, IDAHO, DEALING WITH
TRESPASSING, BY ADDING SECTION B.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE MAYOR AND CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF MERIDIAN,
ADA COUNTY, IDAHO:'
Section 1. That Section 8-1639 of the Revised- and Compiled Ordinances
of the City of Meridian, be, and the same is hereby amended to include the
following:
8-1639: TRESPASSING :
_ Section b: It shall be unlawful for any person or persons
who refuses to leave eithei Private, semi-private or public property after
he has been requested to do the same by the owner of the property, the
owner's agent or any person properly vested with the authority and control
of such property. Any person ~olating this section is guilty of a
misdemeanor, the penalty for which is the SUM of $300.00 and/or 30 days in
the City Jail.
, WHEREAS, there is. an emergency therefor, which emergency is hereby
declared to exist, this Ordinanc~ shall take, effect and be in force and
effect from and after its passage, approval and publication as required
by law.
Passed by the City Council and approved by the Mayor of the City of
Meridian, Ada County, Idaho, this 6th day of December, 1971.
