BE, IT ORDAINED BY TEE MAYOR AND CITY' COUNciL OF THE: CITY OF JVIERIDIAN, ADA COUNTY, IDAHO:-
2-201: ADOF'TION OF PLillJIlING CODE: There is hereby adopted by the City of Meridian for
the purpose of establishing minimum standards of design, materials and workmanship for
all plumbing hereafter installed, altered or repaired, and to establish methods of
procedure within the limits of the municipality that certain plumbing' Code known as
NATIONAL ~JIJMBING CODE, JVlinimum Requirements for Plumbing, . Published by the American
Society of .Mechanical Engineers, being J;articularly the edition titled AS.P_ ,.1\:40.8-1955,
Chapters 1 through 14 and Appendices, and the whole thereof of which not less than three
(3) copies have been and now are filed in the office of the Clerk of the City, and the
same are hereby adopted and incorPoratecr as fully as if set. out at length herein, and
from the date of which this Chapter shall take'effect, the provisions hereof shall be
controlling the installation, alteration' orrepairihg of Plumbing within the corporate

2-204: LICENSE F~: A license. fee shall. be. required by the City of Meridian before
any plumbing installa ti9nB in. the City of Meri.d1an. Before any license is issued the
applicant shall pay to: the City Clerk,alicense fee.in.accor9~nce with the following

2-205: EXPIRLl..TION AN]) RENh'W.A.L CF '1ICENS~SI' All licenses shall expire on December 31st
of each year and shall be renewed not. 'later than, the' following January 15th upon payment
of $10.00 for Plumbing Contractor and $3.00 for' Journeyman Plumber. In the event a
license is not renewed. by January 15th then the renewal rate shall be the same as the
cost of a regular license. . . _. . , . . .

2-207: VALIDITY: The :lnvali9i ty of 'aIiy'seCt{on' orprov:ls10n of this Chapter or of the
Code hereby adopted shall not invalidate other sections or provisio~s thereof.
2-208: PENALTY: Any person violating the provisions of this Chapter shall be d.eemed
guilty of a misdemeanor.
WHERl!;AS ,'there is an' emergency therefore, which emrgency is deole,red to exist,
this Ordinance shall take effect and be in force from flnd after its pissage, approval
and' publication as required by law.
