AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF MERIDIAN PRESCRIBING PENALTIES ANDjOR IMPRISONMENT FOR
VIOLATIONS OF CITY ORDINANCES;' DECLARING VIOLATION OF' ANY ORDINANCE A MISDEMEANOR
AND PROVIDING THAT FAILURE TO CEASE OR ABATE SHALL CONSTITUTE A CONTINUING VIOLATION .
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE MAYOR AND COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF MERIDIAN, IDAHO:'
Sectt'on 1. An:yperson convioted of a violation of any ordi:mmce of the City of
Meridian, may be fined in a sum not to exceed three hundred dollars ($300.00) for any
offense and such person may be confined. in jail for a period of not more than thirty
(30) days. Either or both such fine and imprisonment may be imposed; and in
addition thereto, any person so convicted shall pay costa as the Court may
assess.
Section 2. Any person convicted of driving a motor vehicle while under the
influence of intoxicating liquor or a narootic drug may be fil"led in an amount not to
exoeed. three hundred dollarB ($300.00) and may be confin,ed in jail for not more
than thirty (30) days or both such fine and imprisonment.
Seotion ,. The penalty herein provided shall be applicable ~o every ordinance
of the City of Meridian the same as though it were a part of each and every:" se_para:.~~
