ORDINANCE NO. -!21
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF MERIDIAN, IDAHO, DECLARING INTENT, ADOPrING AND ENACTING THE
IDAHO MOTOR VEHICLE LAWS, AS THE LAWS OF THE CITY OF MERIDIAN FOR GOVERNING AND
REGUIATING THE USE OF ALL STREETS AND PUBLIC THOROUGHFARES 01<' THE CITY, PROVIDING THAT
THREE COPIES OF THE IDAHO MO'I'QR VEHICLE LAWS BE ON FILE AT ALL TIMES IN THE OFFICE OF
THE CITY ClERK, REPEALING ALL ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT THEREWITH, AND FIXING AN EFFECTIVE
DATE.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE MAYOR AND COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF MERIDIAN ,_ IDAHO:
Seotion 1. It is hereby declared to be the intent of the gq:verning body of the
City of Meridian, to aid and aesist by whatever means possible, for the utmost con-
sistency in traffic regulation among the between agencies of Idaho havi,ng --such jurisdic-
tion. Toward that end, adoption of the Idaho Metor Laws by the Cities of Idaho is a
neoessary means of assuring maximum uniform1t~_ within the State.
Section 2. There is hereby adopted for the purpose of establishing rules and
regulations for the uee of all streets and public thoroughfares of the City of
Meridian that certain COde, identified as the 1969 revised edition, Idaho Motor Vehicle
laws, more particularly Title 49, Idaho Code, published by the Department of Law
Enforcement, and, 8S the same may hereafter be revised by the Idaho Legislature, or
amended by the governing body, and the same is -hereby adopted and, inoorporated as an
ordinanoe of the city a.s fully as though eet forth a-t length herein.
Seotion 3. Three oopies of the Idaho Motor Vehicle Laws, together withaay
revisions or amendments, duly oertified by the city clerk, shall be keptcon file in
hig office for use and examination of and by the public.
Section 4. All ordinances of the City of Meridian in conflict herewith, as of
the effective date and time of this ordinance are hereby expressly repealed.
