AN ORDINANCE LEVYING AN ANNUAL TAX UPON ALL THE TAXABLE PJWPERTY WITHIN
THE CORPORATE LIllITS OF THE CITY OF MERIDIAN, ADA COUNTY, IDAHO, FOR THE
FISCAL YEAR BEGnnlJING THE FIRST DAY OF JANUARY, 1969, AND E1'DING THE
THIRTY-FIRST DAY OF DECEMBER, 1969, OF TWENTY-THREE HILLS ON TRS DOLLAR
FOR GENERAL HUNICIPAL PURPOsES, OF FIVE MILLS:. ON THE DOLIAR-FOR THE PURPOSE
OF OILING AND MAINTAINING, STREET, OF TWO HILLS ON THE DOLIJili. FOR THE PURPOSE
OF MAINTAINING FIRE DEPARTHENT, OF TWO MILLS ON THE DOLLAR FOR THE PURPOSE
OF SUpp ORTING A FREE PUBLIC LIBRARY, OF THREE MILLS ON Tns DOLLAR FOR THE
PURPOSE OF PROVIDING RECREATIONAL PROGRAMS, ALL WITHIN THE SAID CITY OF ,
}IE:RIDIAN; DIRECTING THE CITY CLERK TO FILE A CERTIFIED COPY OF THIS ORDINl\.NCE
WITH THE COUNTY TAX COLLECTOR AND THE COUNTY AUDITOR OF ADA COUNTY, IDAHO;
AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE MAYOR AND CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF MERIDIAN,
ADA COUNTY, IDAHO:-

Section 1. That there be, and there is hereby levied upon al1~th!3' :'~ _

County, Idaho, which is taxable by law for State, County, and'Jvfu.nicipaI '. >::.
purposes, the following annual taxes for the purpose of raising rev~:tUJ.e :;:-.'~

City of Meridian, Ada County, Idaho, for the fiscal year c'ommencing_o:t1.. __ _ _-- --.>

1. An annual tax of twenty-three }ulls on the Dollar for general
municipal purposes of the said City of Meridian.
2. An annual tax of five Mills on the Dollar for the purpose of
oiling and maintaining streets.
3. An annual tax of tHO :!VIills on the Dollar for the purpose of
maintaining a Jvfu.nicipal Fire Department.
4. An annual tax of two Vdlls on the Dollar for the purpose of
maintaining a Free Public Library.
5. An annual tax of three Hills on the Dollar for the purpose of
providing for and regulating recreational progranm.
Section 2. That a certified copy of this ordinance shall be by the
City Clerk of the said City of Meridian, certified to the County Tax
Collector and to the County Auditor of Ada County, Idaho.
Section 3. w}~EAS, there is an emergency therefor, which emergency
is hereby declared to exist, this Ordinance shall take effect and be in
force and effect from and after its passage, approval and publication as
required by law.
