ORDINANCE NO. 166
AMENDING TITLE 1, CHAPTER 5 OF THE REVISED AND COMPILED ORDINANCES OF THE CITY
OF MERIDIAN, BY CHANGING THE WARDS TO PRECINCTS.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE MAYOR AND CITY COUNCIL OF' THE CITY OF MERIDIAN, ADA
COUNTY, IDAHO:
Section 1. That Title 1, Chapter 5, of the Revised and Compiled Ordinances
of the City of Meridian, be and the same is hereby amended to read as follows:
1-501: CITY DIVIDED INTO TWO PRECINCTS: The territory embraced within the
corpora~ ~im~ts of the City of Meridian be and the same is hereby divided into
two (2)z::i!:. S The boundaries of the [.,&I1~e to be as follows:
First Precinct Boundaries: All territory within the corporate limits of the
City of Meridian lying between Meridian Street und the e~st boundary of the
City of Meridian shall constitute and is hereby declared to be Precinct
Number One.
Second Precinct Boundaries: All territory within the corporate limits of
the City of Meridian lying between Meridian Street and the west boundary of
the City of Meridian shall constitute and is hereby declared to be Precinct
Number Two. '
Section 2. WHEREAS, there is an emergency therefor, which emergency is
hereby declared to exist, this Ordinance shall take effect and be in force and
effect from and after its passage, approval and publication as required by law.
Passed by the City Council and approved by the President of the Council,
City of Meridian, Ada County, Idaho, this 5th day of July ,1967.
