AN ORDINANCE OF THE; CITY OF ME;RIDIAN REGULATING THE CONSUNPTION OF ALCOHOLIC.
BEVE;RAGES AT ANY PUBLIC GATHERING IN THE; MERIDIAN CITY PARK, THE MERIDIAN SPEED-
\vAY OR ANY OTHER PUBLIC PLACE IN THE CITY OF' MERIDIAN, AND REPEALING SECTION
8-908 OF THE MERIDIAN CITY CODE.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE MAYOR AND CITY COUNCIL OF' THE CITY OF MERIDIAN, ADA
COUNTY, IDAHO:-
Section 1. Section 8-908, Meridian City Code, is hereby repealed.
Section 2. Section 8-908: ALCOHOLIC BEVERAGES PROHIBITED IN THE MERIDIAN
CITY PARK, 1'HE MERIDIAN SPSEDWAY OR ANY OTHER PUBLIC GATHERING IN THE CITY OF
MERIDIAN: It shall be unlawful and illegal for any person or persons to consume 1:_
or have in their possession, any type of alcoholic beverage in any shape or form,
in or on the City Park, Meridian Speedway or any other public place of the City
of Meridian. Any person violating this section is guilty of a misdemeanor, the
penalty for which is the sum of $250.00 and/or thirty (30) days in the City Jail.
Section 3. WHEREAS, there is an emergency therefor, which emergency is
hereby declared to exist, this Ordinance shall take effect and be in force and
effect from and after its passage, approval and publication as required by law.
Passed by the City Council and approved by the Mayor of the City of
Meridian, Ada County, Idaho, this 12th day of June, 1967.
