ORDINANCE NO. 163
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF MERIDIAN RELATING TO THE PLUMBING REQUIREMENTS IN THE
CITY OF MERIDIAN, AND REPEALING SECTION 2-201 OF THE MERIDIAN CITY CODE.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE MAYOR AND CITY COUNCIL OF THE CI'rY OF MERIDIAN, ADA
COUNTY, IDAHO:-
Section 1. Section 2-201, Meridian City Code, is hereby repealed.
Section 2. Section 2-201: ADOPTION OF PLUMBING CODE: There is hereby aaopted
by the City of Meridian for the purpose of~ establishing minimum standards of design~
materials and workmanship for all plumbing hereafter installed, altered or repaired,
and to establish methods of procedure within the limits of the municipality that
certain plumbing code known as NATIONAL PLUMBING CODE, Minimum Requirements for
Plumbing, published by the American Society of Mechanical Engineers, being particu-
larly the edition titled ASA A40.~-1955, and the whole thereof of which not less
than three copies have been and now are filed in the office of the Clerk of the City
of Meridian, and the same are hereby adopted and incorporated as fully as if set out.
at length herein, and from the date of which this chapter shall talce effect, the
provisions hereof shall be controlling the installation, alteration or repairing of
plumbing within the corporate limits of the City of Meridian.
Section 3. WHEREAS, there is an emergency therefor, which emergency is hereby
declared to exist, this Ordinance shall take effect and be in force and effect from
and after its passage, approval and publication as required by law.
Passed by the City Council and approved by the Mayor of the City of Meridian,
Ada County, Idaho, this 12th day of June, 1967.
