ORDINANCE NO. 13_d=:
AMENDING TITLE 1, CHAPTER 2 OF THE ORDINANCES OF THE CITY OF MERIDIAN,
BY CHANGING THE AMOUNT OF THE MAXIMUM FINE FOR PERSONS CONVICTED OF A
VIOLATION OF ANY SECTION OF THE CODE FROM $100.00 TO 5300.00 FOR ANY
ONE OFFENSE.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE MAYOR AND CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF MERIDIAN,
ADA COUNTY, IDAHO:
Section 1. Title 1, Chapter 2 of the Ordinances of the City of
Meridian is hereby amended by changing Section 1-201 thereto to read
as follows::
1-201:: PENALTY: Any person convicted of a violation of any Section
of this Code shall be fined in a sum not to exceed 5300.00 for anyone
offense and such person may be confined in the municipal jail for a period~_
of not more than 30 days. Either or both such fine and imprisonment -may
be imposed.
WHEREAS, There is an emergency therefor, which emergency is hereby
declared to exist, this Ordinance shall take effect and be in force and
effect from and after its passage, approval and publication as required
by law.
Passed by the City Council and approved by the Mayor of the City of
Meridian, Ada County, Idaho, this ~ day of February, 1965.
