ORDINANCE NO. 131
AMENDING TITLE 10, CHAPTER 1 OF THE ORDINANCES OF THE CITY OF MERIDIAN, BY
AMENDING SECTION 10-139 TO CHANGE SUBSECTION (b) OF THAT SECTION IN REGARD TO
THE PENALTIES CONTAINED THEREIN.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE MAYOR AND CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF MERIDIAN, ADA
COUNTY, IDAHO: .
Section 1. Title 10, Chapter 1, Section 10-139, subsection (b) of "the
Ordinances of the City of Meridian is hereby amended to read as follows::
10-139:: (b.) RECKLESS DRIVING PENALTY: Every person convicted of reckless
driving under this section shall be punished by imprisonment in the municipal
jail for a period of not more than thirty days or by a fine of not less than
$25.00 nor more than $300.00 or by both such fine and imprisonment, and provided
further that the City Magistrate shall suspend the license of any such person,
thirty days for the first conviction, ninety days for the second conviction and
one year for the 'third conviction of such offense.
WHEREAS, There is an emergency therefor, which emergency is hereby declared
to exist, this Ordinance shall take effect and be in force and effect from and
after its passage, approval and publication as required by law.
Passed by the City Council and approved by the Mayor of the City of Meridian,
Ada County, Idaho, this ~ day of February, 1965.,
