AMENDING TITLE 3 CHAPTER 2 OF THE ORDINANCES OF. THE CITY OF
MERIDIAN, BY ADDING A NEW SECTION THERETO DESIGNATED 3-215 TO
PROVIDE FOR REVOKATION OF ANY BEER LICENSE ISSUED TO ANY PERSON
WHO IS FOUND GUILTY OF GAMBLING AS DEFINED BY THE ORDINANCES OF
THIS CrTY, AND DECLARING AN llIERGENCY.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE MAYOR AND CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
M&.'RIDIAN 1 . ADA COUNTY, IDAHO: -
SECTION 1: Title 3, Chapter 2 of the Ordinances of the City
of Meridian is hereby amended by adding a new section LherelJo
designated as 3-215, to read as follows:

3-215: REVOCATION OF BEER LICENSE_FOR GAMBLING CONVICTION:
Any person holding a city beer license under the provisions of
this act shall have his license revoked for e. period of 30 days
upon conviction of the crime of gambling as defined by the
Ordinances of this city. Such person shall have his beEn'license
revoked for a period of one year upon conviction of the crime of
gambling a second.time under said ordinances, and any person con~
victed of ouch gombling more than twice shall be permanently
denied a beer license by this city.
WHEREAS, there is an emergency therefor, which emergency is
hereby declared to exist,-this Ordinance shall take effect and be
in force and effect from and aftp.r its passage, approval and pub-
lication as required by law.
Passed by the City Council and approved "by Lhe Mayor of the
City of Meridian, Ada County, Idaho, this 3rd day of June, 1963.
