AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 7-311 OF THE ORDINANCES OF THE
CITY OF MERIDIAN, CONCERNING FEES FOR GARBAGE AND REFUSE
COll.roTION AT RESIDENCES.
BE IT ORDAINED BY -THE MAYOR AND CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF MERIDIAN, ADA COUNTY, IDAHO:- -
SEx::TION 1. That Section 7-311 of the Ordinances of the
City of Meridian be and the same is hereby amended to read as
tollows:
I
Section 7-311: COLLECTION FEES: Fees and rates
for the collection of garbage and rubbish shall be set
by rules and regulations of the Council of the City.
The fee for the collections at residences shall be
one dollar and *** thirty cents ($l.lQ) per month for
single family residences. The fees for business houses
or multiple family residences shall be set by negotiation
and contract between the City. and the business.
Provided further, that where the enforcement of the
pr-ovisions of this Chapter will 'WOrk a financial hard-
. sh-ip, or where the amount of rubbish and garbage is of
such small amounts as to not warrant the -collection of
the tall charges as herein provided, the Mayor and :'
Council may issue a special. permit altering the pro-
visions of this Chapter.
Passed by the City Council and approved by the Mayor of
the Oit.y at Meridian, Ada County, Idaho, this 6th day of
August, 1962.
