SECTION 1. That Section 3-204 Revised and Compiled Ordinances
of the City of Meridian be, and the same is hereby &nended to read
as follow::>:
3-204: LICENSES NOT TO BE GRAIJTED TO CF.H.TADJ PE:".SONS: No
License shall be granted to the following persons:
I
(a) A person who is not of good moral character.
(b) A person who is not devoted to the government
of the United states, and who is incapHbl A of lmder-
standing the laws of the United States, the state
of Idaho, and the Ordinances of the City of Heridian.
(c) A person under 21 years of age.
(d) A person to sellar dispose of bitt by peddling.
(e) To any person to sell for consumption ( except to
a lice'nsed person authorized to sell beer not to be
used or drunk on the premises) within four hundred
(400) feet, measured on otreet line 3, of any block in
which a public school building is located.
(f) To any person to sell in any room where there
shall be screens, boxes, curtains, frosted wind01\fS,
subdued lights, swinging doors, alcoves, booths,
stalls~ or Hny obstruction to the complete viev from
the interior of such prel:1ises, to all parts of the
room on the premises where beer is sold.
(g) To any person who is not a citizen of the United
States and who has not been a bona fide resident of
the State of Idaho for a period of one yea.r prior tt~
the date of making such application and who is not at
the date of making such application a bona fide resi-
dent of """:HHf- Ada County, . Idaho. _
(h) To any person who shall have been convicted for
the violation of any law regulatin~ governing or
prohibiting the sale of alcoholic beverages or
intoxication liquor.
SECTION 3. vlliEREAS, there is an emergency therefor, which
emergency is declared to exist, ther Ordinance shall take effect
and be in force from and after its passage, approval and publica-
tion as required b:y law.
Passed by the City Council and approved by the }1ayor of the
City of Meridian, Ada County, Idaho, this 7th day of Dece mber,
1959.
