"ORDINANCE NO. 98
AN ORDINANCE At1rHORIZING THE INVESTMENT OF $9,000.00 FROM THE
SPECIAL RESERVE ACCOUNT OF THE WATER-SEWER REVENUE SPECIAL FUND
OF 1955 OF_ THE CITY OF MERIDIAN, AS AUTHORIZED BY ORDINANCE
NO. 75 OF THE CITY OF MERIDIAN.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE MAYOR AND CITY COUN crL OF THE CITY OF
MERIDIAN, ADA COUNTY, IDAHO:-
SECTION 1. That the Treasurer of the City of Meridian is
hereby authorized to invest the sum of $9,000.00 from the Special
Reserve Account of the Water-Sewer Revenue Special Fund of 1955
in United states Treasury Bonds, par value $100.00, 4% interest
bearing, maturity date not less than ten years and said treasurer
is authorized to purchaSe said bonds at the existing market rate,
andl ou~ of the total sum ot $9,000.00 pay the costs of purchase.
SE<1:IT'ION 2. That this investment ms made as authorized by
Ordinance No. 75 of the City of Meridian and under authority of
Section 57-601, Idaho Code.
SECTION 3. WHEREAS, there is an emergency therefor, which
emergency is declared to exist, this Ordinance shall t-ake effect
and be in force from and after its passage, approval and publica-
tion as required by law.
Passed by the City Council and approved by the Mayor of the
City at Meridian, Ada County, Idaho, this2- day of February
1952.....
