AN ORDINANCE LEVYING AN ANNUAL TAX UPON ALL THE TAXABLE PROPERTY
WITHIN THE CORPORATE LIMrrS OF -THE CITY OF MERIDIAN, ADA COUNTY,
IDAHO, FOR THE FISCAL YEAR BIDINNING THE FIRST DAY OF MAY, 1958,
AND ENDING THE THIRTmH DAY OF APRIL, 1959, OF TWENTY MILLS ON
THE OOLLAR FOR GENERAL MUNICIPAL PURPOSES, OF FIVE MILLS ON THE
DOLLAR FOR THE PURPOSE OF OILING AND MAINTAINING STREErS, OF TWO
MILLS ON THE DOLLAR FOR THE PURPOSE OF MAINTAINING A MUNICIPAL
FIRE DEPARTMENT, OF ONE MILL ON THE DOLU.R FOR THE PURPOSE OF
SUPPORTING A FREE PUBLIC LIBRARY, FOR 'fW0 MILLS ON THE DOLLAR FOR
THE PURPOSE OF PROVID:rm RECREATIONAL PROGRAMS, ALL WITHIN THE
SAID CITY OF MERIDIAN: DIRECTING THE CITY CLERK TO FILE A CERTIFIED
COpy OF THIS ORDIN~CE WITH THE COUNTY TAX COLLECTOR AND THE
COUNTY AUDITOR OF ADA COUNTY, IDAHO: AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY.

MERIDIAN, ADA COUNTY, IDAHO:- -
SEX::TION L. That there be, and there is hereby 'Ievied upon all
the taxable property with:in. the corporate. limits of the Oity of
Meridian, Ada County, Idaho, which is taxal31e by law for State,
County and Municipal purposes, the following annual taxes for the
purpose of raising revenue to defray the necessary expenses and
liabilities to be incurred in the City of Meridian, Ada County,
Idaho for the fiscal year cODIII.encing on May .1, 1958 and ending
April 30t;h, 1959, for the following purposes, to-wit:-
1. An annual tax .f TWenty Mills on the Dollar for general
municipal purpll)ses of the said City of Meridian.
2. An annual tax _of Five Mills on the Dollar for the pur-
pose of oiling and maintaining streets. . , "

SECTION 2. That a certified. copy of this Ordinance shall be by
the City Clerk of the said City of Meridian, certified to the
CountT Tax Collector and to the County Auditor of Ada County, Idaho.
SECTION 3.. WHEREAS, There is an emergency therefor, which
emergenoy is here by declared to exist, this Ordinance shall take
effect and be in force and effect from and after its passage,
approval and publication &s required. by law.
Passed by the CitT Council and approved by the Mayor of the
City of Meridian, Ada County, Idaho, tliia 7th day of July, 1958.
