AN ORDINANCE MAKOOAN APPROPRIATION OF HONEY FOR ALL THE NECESSARY
EXPENSES AND LIABILITIES OF THE CITY OF MERIDIAN; ADA COUNTY,lDAHO,
FOR THE FISCAL YEAR COMMENCING THE FIRST DAY c:F MAY, 1958 AND ENDING
THE THIRTmH DAY OF APRIL, 1959, THIS ORDINANCE BEDn KNCMN AS THE
ANNUA.L APPROPRIATION BILL, AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE MAYOR AND CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
MERIDIAN, ADA COUNTY, IDAHO:-
SECTION 1: That the f'e11cndng SWIlS of money, or so muoh ther-
of as may be necessary, are hereby appropriated out of any money in
the City Treasury of the City of Meridian, Ada County, Id.ahik: not
etherwise appropr1ated., fer the purpose of defraying any and all
necessary expenses and liabilities for the 'said City of Meridian, -to
be incurred for general municipal purposes for the fiscal year
commencing the 1st day of May, 1958 and ending the 30th day of
April, 1959, said purposes being as follows, to-wit:
'Salaries --------------------.;.-------------------- $23,640.00
Miscellaneous & Reserve ----------------------------. 5,000.00
Waterworks Maintenance --------------------------- 12,000.00
Power and Pumping ------~------------------------ 1,800.00
Sewer Maintenance --------------------------------- 5,000.00
City Park ---------------~------------------------- 2,000.00
Street Maintenance --------------------------------- 8,000.00
Street Ligh~s -------------------------------------- 3,684.00
street Oiling -------------------------------------- 4,297.00
Fire Department ------------------------------------ 1,694.00 '
Library -------------------------------------------- 1,130.00
Recreation ----------------------------------------- 2,295.00
Total --------------------------------,----- '70,540.00
SECTION 2. The amount of money c:lerived from funds or sources
created by law for the specified purposes in this <>rdiance provided
is hereby appropriated for such purposes and no other.
SECTION S. The City Clerk of the said City of Merid:ian is hereby
authorized, upon presentation of proper vouchers approved by the
Mayor and City CeuncU of the said City of Meridian, as provided by
law, to draw his warrant on. the lunds above stated and against the
appropriations as made in the preceding .ections of this Ordinance,
in favor of the parties entitled thereto.
SECTION 4. That this Ordinance be, and the same is hereby
designated as tiTHE ANNUAL APPROPRIATION BILL OF THE CITY OF MERIDIAN,
ADA COUNTY, IDAHO, FOR THE FISCAL YEAR OF 1958-1959".
SECTION 5. WHEREAS, there is an emergency therefor, which emer-
gency 1s declared to exist, this Ordinance shall take effect and be.
in force from and atter its passage, approval and publication as
required by law.
Passed by the City Council and approved by the Mayer of the Cit.y
of Meridian, Ada County, Idaho, this 7t.h day or July, 195B.
