ORDINANCE NO. 79.
AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 2-304 OF THE ORDINANCES OF THE CITY
OF MERIDIAN TO PROVIDE THAT FEES FOR PERMITS AND ~NSPECTIONS
ARE TO BE FIXED BY 'J.1HE CITY COUNCIL.

Be it ordained by the Mayor and Council of the City of
Meridian, ada County, Idaho:
Section-l. That Section 2-)-4 of the Ordinances of the City
of Meridian, be and the same is hereby amended to read as follows:
2-304: PERMIT RE~UIRED - APPLICATION - ISSUANCE* - FEES: It
shall be unlawful for any person, firm or corporation to
place or install in any building any wiring, apparatus or-fixture
for the use of electric current for light, heat, or power, or to
m~ke any alterations or changes in, or additions to any wiring,
apparatus or fixtures for such use, without first obtaining from
the City Superintendent a written permit to do such work. Such
permit shall state the kind of work to ve done and the amount,
and shall cover only work so specified. The contractor, person,
form or corporation shall submit a plan of the wiring system to
be followed, if deemed necessary by the City Superintendent.
Said permit shall also state the location by street and number of
the building where such work is to be done, and shall be valid
only tor the location stated. Provided,-however, that this section
shall not be construed as requiring a permit for ordinary repairs
to old installations where-the cost value of such repairs, in-
cluding material-and labor, does not exceed eitht dollars ($8.00),
but in all cases, the City Superintendent must be notified imme-
diately upon the completion of such work for his inspection and
approval. * * * Fees for permits and inspections shall be fixed
by the City Council.
Section 2. That this ordinance shall be in full force and
effect from and after its passage, approval and pUblication as
required by law.

of Meridian, Ada County, Idaho, This 7th Day of May , 1956.
