BE IT ORDAINED 3Y THE UAYOR AND CITY COUNCIL OF 'I'HE CITY OF
l,1ERIDIAN, ADA COlW'TY, ID.tillO:-
SECTION 1. That there be, and there is hereby levied, upon all
the taxable property within the corporate limits of ~he City of Meri-
dian, Ada County, Idaho, which is taxable by law for State, County.
and ~.Iunici pal purposes, the following annua 1 taxes for the purpose
of raising revenue to defray the necessary exp~nses and liabilities
to be incurred in the 8i ty of' hIeridien. Ada County, Idaho. i'or the
fiscal year commencing')n bIay 1. 1954, and ending April 30, 1955.'
for the following purposes. to-wit:-
1. An annual tax of Twenty ~,1ills on the Dollar' for general
J:,Iunicipal purposes of' the said Ci ty of f"leridian .

2. An annual tax for Four Mills on the Dollar for the purpose
of oiling andr.1aintaining streets.
3. An annual tax of Une Millon the Dollar for the pnrposp. of
maintaining a Municipal Band.
4. An ahnual tax uf Twu Mills all 1he Dollar for tIle purpo~e of'
Maintaini.ne a Municipal j!'ire Department.
5. An annual tax of One Millon the Dollar for the purpose of
maintaining a Free P~blic Library.
6. An anr.ual tax of Two Mills on the Dollar for the nurpose of
providing for and regulating Recreational programs.
