AN ORDINANCE PROVIDmG FOR THE REMOVAL OF SNOW AlfD ICE, BY THE
OWNER, TENANT OR OCCUPANT OF ANY PRIVATE PROPERTY WITHIN THE
CITY LIMITS OF THE CITY OF MERIDIAN, ADA COUNTY, IDAHO: PRO-
VIDING FOR NOTICE OF REMOVAL: PROVIDING FOR AUTHORrry OF THE
CITY OF MERIDIAN TO REMOVE SAME AND ASSESS THE COST THEREOF
AGAINST THE PROPERTY CONCERNED AND PROVIDING AUTHORITY FOR THE
CITY TO ASSESS THE COST THEREOF TO THE PROPERTY OWNERS WITHIN
SAID CITY, SUCH ASSESSMENTS TO BE CERTIFIED TO THE COUNTY OF
ADA, STATE OF IDAHO, IN A<<::GORDANCE WITH LAW.

BE IT ORDAINED BY THE MAYOR AND CITY COUNCn. OF THE CITY OF
MERIDIAN, ADA COUNTY, IDAHO:
. Section 1. That the owners, tenant or occupant of any pr.emises
within the city of Meridian abutting or adjOining any sidewalk or
alley shall remove all snow and ice upon and from such private
property to the center of any street or alley along or in front of
such property including the parking within the curbing abutting
such property.
It shall be the duty of the City of Meridian to nofify any
owner, tenant or occupant of property herein described to remove
or otherwise correct the Objectional matters herin legislated
against, whioh notice shall be sent by registered mail to the last
known address of such owner, tenant or occupant, notifying him that
he has a periOd of 24 Hours from and after receipt of such notice
within which to corr~ct or otherwise remove the Objections set-
forth in said notice.
Upon failure of the owner, tenant or occupant of said premises
to comply with the terms and conditions of said notice, then and in
that event the City of Meridian shall have the right to remove such
snow and ice and assess the cost thereof against the premises abut-
ting the sidewalks or alleys cleared or treated and against the
private property as cleaned or cleared, such assessment to be
certified to the county assessor or other proper county official
having charge of the making of the assessment roll and such assess-
ment to be placed on the assessment roll and oollected in the same ..
manner as other municipal taxes are collected.
Section 2. That this ordinance shall be in full force aDd
effect from and after its passage, approval and pUblication as
