ORDINANCE NO. 56.
AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 45 OF THE CITY OF MERIDIAN,
ADA COUNTY, IDAHO, FIXING SALARIES OF ELECTIVE AND APPOINTIVE
OFFICERS.

Section 1. That .the salary of the Mayor of the City of
Meridian, Ada County, Idaho, shall be $50.00 per month, pay-
able monthly.
Section 2. That the salary of the City Clerk and Ex-
Officio Police Judge, when performing the duties of both of-
fices, shall be $225.pO per month, payable monthly.

Section 3. That the salary of the City Treasurer shall
be the sum of $45.00 per month, payable monthly.
Section 4. That the salary of the City Attorney shall be the
sum of $75.00 per month, payable monthly.
Section 5. That the salary of the City Engineer shall
be the sum of $340.00 per month, payable monthly.
Section 6. That the salary of the Assistant City En-
gineer shall be the sum of ~250.09 per month, payable monthly.

Section 7. That the salary of the Chief of Police shall /
be the sum of $260.00 per month, payable monthly.

Section 8. That the salary of the Fire Chief shall be
the sum of $10.00 per month, payable monthly.
Section 9. The salaries of such other officers as may
be deemed necessary for the efficient operation of the City
of Meridian, and who may hereafter be appointed, shall be
fixed at'the time of such appointments.
Section 10. All officers of the City of Meridian, shall
be appointed by the Mayor, with consent of the Council, and
shall hold'their offices for two years, unless sooner removed
by the Mayor.
Section 11. That the salary of the President of the
Council, when acting in the capacity of Mayor shall be the
same salry as the Mayor, payable monthly, pro rata for the
period of time he shall perform the duties of Mayor.
Section 12. That the salary of each Member of the
Council shall be $25.00 per Month, payable monthly.
Seotion 13. This Ordinance shall be in full force and
effect tram and after its passage, approval and pUblication
as required by law.

Section 14. That Ordinance No. 45 of the City of Meri-
dian, passed and approved March 22, 1949, and all other Or-
dinances or parts of Ordinances in conflict herewith, are
hereby repealed.
