A RESOLUTION APPROVING A MEMORANDUM Of AGREEMENT
AND CROSS-DEPUTIZATION BETWEEN THE BOISE CITY POUCE
DEPARTMENT, THE GARDEN CITY POLICE DEPARTMENT, AND
THE MERIDIAN CITY POLICE DEPARTMENT, PERMITTING
OffiCERS OF EACH JURISDICTION TO EXERCISE PEACE
OffiCER AUTHORITY IN THE JURISDICTIONS Of THE OTHERS
THROUGH CROSS-DEPUTIZATION IN FURTHERANCE Of A
MEMORANDUM OF AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE CITY OF BOISE,
THE CITY OF GARDEN CITY AND THE CITY Of MERIDIAN, AND
AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR AND THE CHIEf Of POLICE TO
EXECUTE THE AGREEMENT; AND PROVIDING AN EffECTIVE
DATE.
WHEREAS the City af Baise, the City af Garden City, and the
City cf Meridian have prepared a Memorandum af Agreement
between the Baise City Palice DEPARTMENT, the Garden City
Police DEPARTMENT, and the Meridian City Police DEPARTMENT,
ta pravide police action where pance action is necessary and
should otherwise be taken; and,
WHEREAS ta further such gaal a Memarandum af
Agreement is necessary ta permit afficers af each jurisdiction ta
exercise peace afficer authority in the jurisdictians af the others
through cross-deputization;
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND
COUNCIL Of THE CITY OF MERIDIAN CITY, IDAHO:
Sectian 1. That the agreement by and between the City af
Boise City, the City af Garden City, and the City of Meridian City,
a copy of said agreement marked Exhibit "A" attached hereto
and incarporated herein by reference, be, and the same is
hereby, approved as ta bath farm and content.
Sectian 2. That the Mayor and City Clerk be, and they
hereby are, authorized to execute said Agreement for and an
behalf of the City of Meridian City.
Sectian 3. That this Resalution shall be in full force and
effect immediately upan its adoptian and approval.
ADOPTED by the Council af the City af Meridian City, Idaho,
